We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at MIN JIA PTE. LTD. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant kitchen.

The estimated salary for this position is SGD 80,000 - 120,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership position that requires strong culinary expertise, exceptional management skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of kitchen staff. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food procurement, inventory management, and staff training and development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the head chef in managing the kitchen, including coordinating kitchen staff, supervising dish production, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations;
  • Formulate daily work plans for the kitchen and ensure all tasks are completed on time;
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and apprentices;
  • Assign work tasks, supervise employees' execution, and provide guidance and feedback during work;
  • Participate in menu planning and innovation, including designing and updating menus to meet customer needs;
  • Manage food procurement and inventory management to ensure ingredient quality and supply chain efficiency;
  • Monitor hygiene standards and ensure food preparation processes comply with health and safety standards;
  • Supervise production and execution to ensure high-quality dishes are served on time;
  • Solve emergencies in the kitchen, such as unexpected problems with ingredients, equipment, or personnel.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess a combination of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have:
  • A degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant setting;
  • Strong knowledge of menu planning, food procurement, and inventory management;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team of kitchen staff;
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control;
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling practices.
