Our company is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Cost Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for calculating the base manufacturing cost for all new projects.
- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for sheet metal manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to source standard items and finalize finishing process quotes from suppliers.
- Update and maintain RFQ logs to ensure efficient communication with customers.
- Notify customers of process capabilities and material availability, making recommendations as needed.
- Define manufacturing processes to ensure competitive product cost estimation.
- Recommend design changes for easy and low-cost manufacturing to customers.
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- 2-5 years' experience performing cost estimation in sheet metal industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong oral and written communication skills.
