Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Data Centre Facilities Technician.

This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring quality control procedures, managing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, building security systems, cleaning services, and all supporting infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement and Monitor Quality Control Procedures: Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory standards by implementing and monitoring quality control procedures.
  • Data Centre Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain data centre infrastructure, including M&E systems, building security systems, cleaning services, and all supporting infrastructure.
  • Regular Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and checks on M&E systems, housekeeping, safety practices, and contractor performance.
  • Maintenance and Fault Rectification: Monitor data centre facilities, perform maintenance activities, and carry out fault rectification works to ensure continuous and reliable operations.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), processes, and documentation for efficient operation and maintenance of the data centre.
  • Fault Calls and Emergency Situations: Attend to all fault calls, breakdowns, and emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Nitec in Mechanical / Electrical or related field.
  • 3 years relevant experience in Facilities Operation in FM service provider.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Class 3 driving license is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with facilities-related systems and operations, including mechanical, electrical, and civil works.
  • Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
