Commodities Operations Senior Analyst

\

This role is responsible for providing support to the business and clients, processing commodities confirmations and settlements, reconciliation of physical metals, and improving process efficiency.

\

Key responsibilities include:

\
  • \
  • Process commodities trade confirmations and settlements in a timely and accurate manner.\
  • Physical inventory reconciliation, such as India Gold.\
  • Investigation, escalation, and resolution of cash breaks, including coordination with the Global Cash Breaks team.\
  • Liaise with global commodities stakeholders when required to resolve issues and support the business.\
  • Provide support to front office sales and trading for all commodity confirmations and settlements related queries.\
  • Identify control deficiencies, resolve issues, and escalate control gaps and issues to senior management when appropriate.\
  • Approval responsibilities for both STP and manual payments release.\
  • Oversee and develop the APAC Commodities Operations Team into subject matter experts in provide top-tier trading desk support while strengthening the overall group's control mindset.\
  • Manage daily collaboration across global clients, trading, and operations teams to provide solutions and identify/resolve root causes.\
  • Act as a key point of contact for the team across internal and external stakeholders.\
  • Identify trends, synergies, and weaknesses across products and regions.\
  • Recommend control enhancements as needed.\
  • Provide input to simplify, improve, and measure processes by delivering enhancements to the control environment and the customer journey.\
  • Work on strategic platform re-engineering initiatives to reduce manual touch points and align tech delivery with business goals.\
  • Engage in discussions and relationship management activities to support the business.\
