Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Technician in our workshop department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality maintenance and repairs on Scania products, ensuring satisfied customers, on-time delivery, and safety at work by following defined processes, standards, and guidelines.

Responsibilities will include collecting work orders, reading and understanding them, starting up tasks, securing access to necessary tools, picking up spare parts, preparing vehicles/components for maintenance/repair, completing visual inspections, searching for additional information in systems, managing deviations, returning unused spare parts, cleaning exchange parts, and restoring vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collect work order
  2. Read and understand work order
  3. Start-up work order
  4. Collect additional information
  5. Secure access to the right tools
  6. Pick up spare parts
  1. Prepare vehicle/component
  2. Complete visual inspections
  3. Search for additional information in systems
  4. Secure spare parts for additional jobs
  5. Perform maintenance or repair on vehicle/component
  6. Manage deviations
  7. Return not used spare parts
  8. Clean exchange parts
  9. Return special tools
  10. Clean work area
  11. Restore vehicle to handed-in condition
  12. Inform Foreman/Service Advisor about additional faults or findings
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Heavy vehicle technician-related experience, such as repairing and maintenance of heavy vehicles
  • Heavy vehicle related qualification or equivalent
