Director of Engineering

This position oversees the maintenance operations of hotel facilities, electrical systems, kitchen equipment, emergency power systems, and other related equipment to ensure compliance with guest service standards, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation programs.

  • Manage departmental expenses and prepare annual budgets and Capex plans.
  • Evaluate the condition of hotel facilities and MEP systems to support daily operations.
  • Establish and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance reliability and serviceability.
  • Plan and execute projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain systematic and cost-effective processes for operating, maintaining, and upgrading assets.
  • Identify hazards and safety concerns, and ensure Fire Life Safety compliance.
  • Adhere to international standards and local authority requirements.
  • Conduct training programs for team members as per manuals and safety standards.
  • Perform engineering and fire safety audits.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • At least five years of experience in building management/engineering within the hospitality industry.
  • Hands-on experience in hotel operations, repair, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of building life safety systems and energy management systems.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to lead a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
