Job Opportunity:

The Product Development Manager will be responsible for creating innovative food products that meet high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new food products by conducting research, testing recipes, and collaborating with suppliers.
  • Conduct presentations and food tasting sessions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Simulate sales performance of new promotions or product discounts to inform business decisions.
  • Document protocol and SOPs for making new products to maintain consistency and efficiency.
  • Monitor daily/weekly sales of newly launched products and generate reports to track progress.
  • Prepare memos for product-related information, including new product launches, supplier changes, and price adjustments.
  • Determine costing and sales targets for new product launches.
  • Tabulate ingredient information and allergen contents in food products to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Apply nutritional knowledge and dietary requirements in new product development and launch.
  • Liaise with laboratories to arrange lab tests and ensure product quality.
  • Assist customers with enquiries regarding nutritional values, product ingredients, and other product-related issues.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective raw materials and minimum order quantities.
  • Communicate with suppliers to collect information for new product development.
  • Conduct market research on trends and market prices in the fast food industry and competitors.
  • Sourcing and evaluating new raw materials and packaging materials that are cost-effective and in line with current requirements.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth implementation and launching of new products.
  • Assist in ordering raw materials from suppliers and tracking stock balances.
  • Assist in photoshoots of new products, highlighting ingredients and appearance.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by the immediate superior.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in F&B product development.
  • Minimum Diploma in any field.
  • Knowledge in logistics/procurement is an advantage.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Self-driven and motivated individuals.
