Family Violence Specialist

As a Family Violence Specialist, you will provide a comprehensive continuum of services to clients experiencing family violence. This includes:

- Casework Management and Counselling Service

  • Provide support to clients with medium to high risk family violence concerns.
  • Assess client needs and develop tailored intervention plans.

- Risk Assessment and Intake Process

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential harm to clients or their families.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure client safety.

- Program Planning and Evaluation

  • Design and implement programs to meet the diverse needs of clients.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for improvement.

- Community Outreach and Development

  • Build relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery.
  • Develop initiatives to promote social justice and address underlying causes of family violence.

- Research and Capacity Building

  • Contribute to research that informs best practices in addressing family violence.
  • Develop staff capacity through training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in family violence work, preferably in a specialist role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
