Project Engineer, Mechanical

We are seeking a highly skilled project engineer to lead mechanical system designs and ensure compliance with quality standards and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment with engineering schedules and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of mechanical design standards and methodologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in the execution of mechanical tasks.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track and report key design data, such as equipment counts and object quantities.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on design progress and technical issues.
  • Prepare and review mechanical machinery and piping calculations, technical specifications, and vendor submissions.
  • Review and validate 2D arrangement drawings, schematics, and 3D models for marine systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical/piping design for marine or offshore newbuilds.
  • At least 2 years in a senior engineering capacity.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, AVEVA, and MS Office tools.
  • Knowledgeable in classification rules and statutory marine requirements.
  • Strong foundation in mechanical, piping, and HVAC system design.
