Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at UNDER DER LINDEN PTE. LTD. as an Executive Chef Assistant. This role will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the development of new menu options, planning meal designs, and ensuring kitchen activities operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
  • Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to customers.
  • Monitor and control kitchen activities to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering new supplies as needed, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen employees, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
  • Recruit, train, and develop new kitchen employees to meet restaurant standards.
  • Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance.
  • Ensure adherence to sanitation regulations and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs.
