Job Description

This role involves working closely with the Worship and Music team to plan, organize, implement and ensure the smooth execution of services, events, trainings and activities within the Worship and Music ministry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and executing operational workflows in close collaboration with Pastoral Team Staff, Pastors, and laity. Key duties include:

  • A) Service Planning
    • Prepare weekly service slides using relevant software tools
    • Maintain liturgical cloths in worship venues according to seasons
    • Care for and maintain liturgical furnishings in various worship venues
    • Ensure Altar Books are updated with correct Great Thanksgivings at each Communion Service
    • Manage Holy Communion elements including ordering, checking expiry and storing
    • Prepare Holy Communion elements in trays and transport them to respective worship venues
    • Liaise with 3rd parties for special offerings and song reports
    • Record meeting minutes for Service Team Meetings and W&M Staff Team Minutes
  • B) Worship Services
    • Roster ushers for regular English services and special services
    • Roster Communion Assistants for regular English services and special services
    • Brief Communion Assistants on serving Holy Communion procedure
    • Assign Communion Assistants to their stations at each worship venue
    • Support pastors' office in ad-hoc activities such as special services, baptism interviews and staff devotions
  • C) Floral Ministry
    • Serve as liaison with floral ministry
  • D) Others
    • Support implementation of tools, courses, materials and technologies
    • Provide inputs and feedback on spiritual health of the ministry based on observations made during work
    • Execute programs and activities with sound budgeting and financial management
    • Execute programs and activities in compliance with church policies and guidelines
    • Carry out additional responsibilities when assigned by pastors or immediate supervisors
