Special Needs Educator

  • An Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) teacher role with responsibilities for educating children with special needs.
About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of educators in delivering high-quality educational programs for young children with special needs. The successful candidate will have experience and skills in working with children who require additional support, be highly motivated and dedicated to providing individualized learning opportunities that cater to each child's unique needs.

We are seeking someone who is knowledgeable about ECI principles and practices, able to work effectively with diverse groups of children, families, and staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

This role involves:

  • Developing and implementing inclusive educational programs that meet the diverse needs of our students;
  • Providing individualized support and instruction to students with varying abilities and learning styles;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting student progress to parents and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement;
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity, equity, and social justice;
  • Engaging with families and community partners to enhance student learning and well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field;
  • At least one year of experience working with young children with special needs;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities;
  • Knowledge of ECI principles and practices, including assessment and planning processes;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
