Job Description

The Director of Engineering Process is a strategic role that oversees the optimization of engineering operations to achieve business objectives.

This involves analyzing existing processes and workflows, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements such as Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

The Director will develop and maintain documentation for engineering processes and best practices, ensuring seamless communication and knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and optimize engineering processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Implement process improvements, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Develop and maintain documentation for engineering processes and best practices
  • Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, budget, and tools, to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with project priorities
  • Forecast resource needs and manage capacity planning to meet current and future demands
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of engineering operations
  • Track and analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in engineering operations, software development, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and DevOps principles
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma
  • Expertise in engineering tools and technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and project management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
