Department Overview
The Compliance division serves as a vital partner and trusted advisor to the Board and senior management. Our mission is to ensure that the Group consistently meets its regulatory obligations in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. We collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify and assess regulatory risks, develop practical solutions that align regulations with operational needs, and foster a robust compliance culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will join the Group Compliance, AML Policy, Advisory, and Training team. The primary responsibilities include:
- Acting as the subject matter expert, providing guidance and collaborating with Business and AML Business Compliance officers in the formulation of AML controls, processes, and procedures to effectively identify and mitigate risks.
- Reviewing and contributing to the ongoing maintenance of Group AML/CFT policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with current laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Delivering consistent advice, interpretation, and implementation of Group AML/CFT procedures.
- Providing essential updates on AML/CFT-related matters to relevant business forums and committees.
- Collaborating with Business and Business Compliance Officers in managing AML/CFT controls and associated risks.
- Monitoring developments in AML/CFT laws, regulations, and risk trends.
- Overseeing internal and external audits and reviews.
- Supporting and participating in AML/regulatory-related projects as needed.
- Performing additional support tasks as required by the Head of AML Policy, Advisory, and Training.
Qualifications
- A degree or professional qualification in business or banking/financial services-related fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in AML/CFT/Sanction compliance roles.
- Experience in managing AML/CFT/Sanction Policies and Frameworks is highly advantageous.
- A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; must possess a proactive mindset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking and financial services laws & regulations, compliance best practices, and an understanding of financial products & systems.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment, both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of operating swiftly.
