Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary professional to lead our global data protection strategy. This exciting opportunity requires an individual with exceptional technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation in disaster recovery solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of a unified backup and disaster recovery platform across all locations. They will also evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance cyber resiliency and protect against ransomware threats.

About the Role

This key position involves leading a team of engineers and specialists to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with on-premises and cloud-native backup and recovery technologies, as well as proficiency in disaster recovery solutions for both cloud and on-premise environments.

They will be responsible for managing IT service operations, including incident, request, change, knowledge management, and problem management. Additionally, they will oversee budgeting, cost tracking, and optimization of backup and disaster recovery services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage a unified backup and disaster recovery platform
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Lead a team of engineers and specialists to foster a culture of accountability and innovation
  • Manage IT service operations, including incident, request, change, knowledge management, and problem management
  • Oversee budgeting, cost tracking, and optimization of backup and disaster recovery services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 4 years in a technical management or leadership position
  • Hands-on experience with on-premises and cloud-native backup and recovery technologies
  • Proficiency in disaster recovery solutions for both cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS) and on-premise environments
  • Strong background in data protection against ransomware and cyber resiliency enhancement
  • Solid understanding of ITSM frameworks, preferably ITIL v4 certified
