Biomedical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine safety checks and preventive maintenance on medical equipment. You will also update and maintain proper equipment records, assist in the investigation of medical equipment-related incidents, and assess medical equipment put up for condemnation by end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance on medical equipment
  • Update and maintain proper equipment records
  • Assist in the investigation of medical equipment-related incidents
  • Assess medical equipment put up for condemnation by end-users
  • Supervise and coordinate work performed by external contractors
  • Budget, purchase and maintain inventory of spare parts and batteries
  • Perform other tasks and roles as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • 2 years of relevant working experience in the field
  • Advantageous to have worked in healthcare settings
