Senior Biomedical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team.
Location: Queenstown
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and support procurement of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with users to define technical specifications for tenders, taking into account their needs and requirements.
- Evaluate tender submissions, assess their technical merit, and provide recommendations based on that assessment.
- Organize and lead user workgroups for planning discussions, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Track and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient use of available assets.
- Support campus planning and daily biomedical operations, contributing to the smooth functioning of facilities and services.
- Liaise with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage contract/service issues, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
- Provide technical advice to users and management, leveraging expertise to inform decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with healthcare trends and developments, applying knowledge to improve services and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in servicing and maintaining medical equipment.
- Strong project coordination and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and problem-solving.
- Able to work independently and with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
- Good problem-solving, presentation, and negotiation skills, applied to resolve complex issues and achieve goals.
