Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Main Role of a Mechanical Equipment Specialist is to ensure the reliability and integrity of mechanical equipment within our refinery operations.

  • Provide technical expertise to support the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, including piping systems and pressure vessels.
  • Develop and implement engineering practices and standards for static equipment, ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of asset master plans, including ECC and utilities units, to ensure reliable execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Drive sustainable development and reliability improvement programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve complex equipment or system problems, providing recommendations for prevention and mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive discipline scopes for turnarounds and shutdowns, ensuring mechanical support during these activities.
  • Perform engineering design verification for existing equipment using PV Elite and Code Calc software, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide fitness-for-service assessments for static equipment and piping, as per API 579, and review and approve mechanical designs for temporary repairs.
  • Evaluate technical acceptance of deviation/derogation of mechanical items, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience delivering or supporting asset integrity work in assets.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Field Engineering / Construction- / Asset- Support experience.
  • Experience in Equipment Integrity & Fitness for Service.
  • Familiar with the investigation of Equipment / Piping Failure.
