Job Description:

As a physiotherapy team lead, you will play a vital role in helping clients restore mobility, function, and independence through comprehensive assessments, tailored treatments, and manual therapy. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that strives to maintain the highest standards of clinical practice and professional conduct in all areas of client care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality and professional physiotherapy services for assigned caseloads.
  • Performing initial assessments of day-care and rehab clients and developing personalized therapy programs based on assessments.
  • Conducting regular client reviews and adjusting therapy plans accordingly.
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure holistic care, attending MDM meetings, communicating care plans to clients, caregivers, and care teams, and providing recommendations.
  • Delivering caregiver education and support.
  • Providing direct supervision, guidance, and support to therapists, assistants, caregivers, interns, and personnel involved in therapy.
  • Maintaining adherence to MOH audit requirements, quality guidelines, and WSH procedures.
  • Tracking and re-certifying rehab clients and updating outcome measures.
  • Conducting environment, quality, and in-house competency audits.
  • Communicating with relevant parties (internal and external) regarding client care as necessary.
  • Managing day rehab center operations by delegating tasks and working collaboratively with the team to plan and monitor client schedules, staff allocation rosters, equipment inventory, and maintenance.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely submission and uploading of monthly Rehab reports and dashboard indexes.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, effective, and efficient work environment for all.
  • Assisting the department in developing new initiatives and programs as directed.
  • Ensuring staff under direct supervision have attended required training and are certified appropriately.
  • Organizing and participating in community outreach programs and educational activities when needed.
  • Participating in in-service education for internal and external audiences.
  • Contributing to QIP and research projects by identifying problem areas, recommending improvement measures, and implementing changes.
  • Supporting the development of competency in all levels of staff within the center.
