We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Manager, Programmes Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing grants management, including the development and implementation of governance and compliance practices to ensure robust controls and standards across programme implementation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of governance frameworks and compliance requirements, as well as experience in process review and enhancement. They will be able to drive process improvements and change management, and possess strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
The Manager, Programmes Team will be part of a dynamic team responsible for implementing effective grant governance practices across various stages of the programme life cycle. The role requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work independently, handling multiple priorities effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Compliance Management: Develop and implement controls and safeguards across programmes to ensure alignment with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Audit Management: Support the Programmes Team on programme audits, including preparation of documentation and implementation/follow-up of audit recommendations.
- Process Enhancement: Drive process improvements to enhance grant governance across various stages of the programme life cycle.
- Systems and Verification: Oversee the development and implementation of compliance monitoring frameworks, including system checks and verification processes.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular reviews of existing processes and systems to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g. programme partners) to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and resolution of governance matters.
- Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in accounting, finance and compliance reviews and audits from commercial or professional audit environments would be advantageous.
- Good Understanding of governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience in Process Review and enhancement.
- Demonstrated Ability to drive process improvements and change management.
- Strong Project Management Skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent Communication Skills with ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
- Proactive Team Player with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to Work Independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
