About the Role
Deutsche Bank Research is seeking a highly skilled economist to join our Global Emerging Markets Research Team, focusing on Asian currency and interest rate markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct timely and insightful analysis on Asian markets, with a particular focus on India and ASEAN.
- Analyze economic developments from macro data releases, capital flows, and central bank and government policies to generate investment and hedging recommendations for Deutsche Bank's clients.
- Write for regional and global publications on investment opportunities, trading recommendations, and market themes in Asia.
- Present ideas and recommendations to the bank's clients through multiple channels, including marketing trips to various geographies.
- Support key internal stakeholders, including Senior Management in the Investment Bank and Global Research, for topics related to Asia.
Requirements
- University degree in Economics and/or Finance, and comfortable with programming languages (Python, R) and handling big data.
- 8+ years of experience and knowledge working as an Economist or Strategist covering FX & Rates products.
- Deep understanding of Asian markets (ASEAN and/or India), including regulatory landscape, policy architecture, and market instruments.
- Good interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Desire to take initiative, express intellectual curiosity, propose new ideas, deliver on independent projects, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
