About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Strategist to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute procurement strategies that drive business growth and improvement.
  • Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers, strengthening existing partnerships and driving purchasing decisions to reduce costs and enhance quality.
  • Analyse market trends, monitor price fluctuations, and manage associated risks to ensure seamless procurement structures.
  • Work closely with internal departments to create effective procurement processes, ensuring compliance with contracts and overseeing the entire supply chain.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to stakeholders, providing insights into procurement metrics and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or sales within the food industry or related field.
  • Strong management experience, with a history of leading teams of 5 or more.
  • Excellent skills in supply chain management, cost control, and vendor negotiations.
  • Ability to think logically and develop effective business strategies, driving results through data analysis and process improvements.
