
Safety and Quality Expert

As a key member of the Improvement Science team, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in driving safety and quality initiatives across the hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement hospital-wide safety culture engagement and training programs based on healthcare patient safety and quality frameworks.
You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and evaluate best practices in healthcare safety culture for implementation and scale-up/spread. Additionally, you will create and maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, champions, and advocates to inculcate a culture of safety and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, and operationalize hospital-wide Safety Culture engagement and training programs
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and evaluate best practices in healthcare safety culture
- Create and maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, champions, and advocates
- Plan and facilitate the development and implementation of measures related to organizational safety climate
- Perform relevant data analysis and provision of insights on safety climate to facilitate hospital management decision-making and action
- Facilitate or provide expert consultation for safety improvement efforts using known methodologies and relevant domain knowledge
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a relevant post-graduate Master's degree with 3 years of relevant working experience or a relevant degree/general degree with relevant certification and 5 years of relevant working experience.
Your skills and experience should include patient safety, human factors, risk management, safety leadership & management, healthcare quality, systems thinking, and relevant safety sciences. Candidates with healthcare experience are preferred.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. You should also possess project management skills to develop and lead programs, facilitation and communication skills to engage staff at all levels, and effective team player skills with strong interpersonal skills.
