Lead Horticulturist\

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled horticulturist to lead our nursery team. As Lead Horticulturist, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including managing staff, planning and reviewing activities, and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and improve daily functions of the nursery and projects\
  • Procurement of plants, materials, etc.\
  • Provide training to staff on pesticides, fertilizers, etc.\
  • Create staff work rosters and delegate duties\
  • Plan and review nursery activities, costs, and operations\
  • Create attractive garden and plant displays\
  • Respond to customer requests and provide guidance to the nursery staff\
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required\
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices\\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Degree in Horticulture or equivalent\
  • At least 2 years' relevant working experience\
  • Able to work independently and in a team\
  • Strong communication skills\
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills\
  • Valid driving license an added advantage\
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods\
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office\
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances\
  • Passion for gardening and horticulture\\
