Cybersecurity Engineer for Air Traffic Management Systems

Position Overview
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is seeking a skilled and proactive engineer to join the Info-Centric Air Traffic Management Systems Section. This role involves the planning, design, integration, enhancement, and innovation of advanced informational Air Navigation Services (ANS) Systems, while also ensuring the security of existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing projects and systems related to cybersecurity implementations, including the design and engineering of information security measures (e.g., authentication, perimeter security, compliance tools), as well as technology systems (both software and hardware).
- Contributing to the enhancement of cybersecurity posture to align with national and international standards.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, system suppliers, and IT consultants, to facilitate the implementation of cybersecurity measures.
- Coordinating internal and external audits, addressing technical discussions, and conducting necessary audits such as scanning exercises and penetration tests.
- Investigating security breaches to identify causes and working with stakeholders to resolve incidents, followed by post-incident reporting and implementing system enhancements to mitigate future risks.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A background in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering (Computing/Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in system project implementation and cybersecurity compliance.
- Experience in managing cybersecurity projects, ideally having participated in at least one complete project implementation lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of information security governance, risk management, vulnerability assessment, compliance, and industry best practices.
- The ability to understand the connection between cybersecurity initiatives and broader business objectives.
- Self-motivation, independence, and strong teamwork skills, along with excellent communication and analytical abilities.
Contract Details
Successful candidates will initially be offered a contract for a duration of three years, with the possibility of permanent placement or contract renewal based on performance.
