Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Cost Optimization Manager to develop and implement frameworks for managing AWS cloud infrastructure costs. This role requires strong technical expertise in AWS, leveraging native, open-source, community tools, and custom automation solutions to optimize cloud expenses.

The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS cost management tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash), as well as familiarity with open-source and community-driven cloud cost management tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing cloud spending and identifying trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implementing AWS-specific cost optimization strategies, including resource rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, and elimination of unused resources.
  • Ensuring AWS resource utilization is optimized and aligned with organizational cost objectives.
  • Evaluating AWS pricing models and recommending optimal choices based on workload and cost-efficiency.
  • Generating comprehensive cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts using AWS-native tools and open-source analytics tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in AWS infrastructure cost optimization.
  • Proficiency in AWS cost management tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with AWS-specific technologies and methodologies (CloudFormation, CDK, ECS, EKS).
  • Experience with open-source and community-driven cloud cost management tools.
  • AWS Certification (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Cloud Practitioner).
