Business Credit Risk Professional

We are seeking an experienced Business Credit Risk Officer to oversee SME loan portfolios and ensure prudent lending practices. This role will play a key part in evaluating creditworthiness and mitigating financial risk.

Credit Risk Management Role
The ideal candidate will review and assess SME loan applications for credit risk and compliance, analyse financial statements, business performance, and industry trends, recommend loan structures and terms aligned with risk policies, monitor loan performance and identify early warning signs of default, develop and implement risk management strategies, and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal credit policies.

About the Job
  • This is a full-time position requiring at least 5 years' experience in credit risk or credit assessment within financial services.
  • A diploma or degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and knowledge of SME financing practices, as well as familiarity with MAS regulations and non-bank lending policies.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all lending activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and our internal policies. The role will also involve working closely with other departments to identify areas of improvement and implementing new procedures to enhance our risk management processes.
