Senior Mechanobiology Research Specialist
About the JobWe are seeking an experienced research professional to join our Confinement Mechanobiology group. As a Senior Mechanobiology Research Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with talented and motivated research staff, interdisciplinary PIs, and clinician scientists.
This role involves utilizing mechanobiology principles to identify, engineer, and leverage the role of confinement in cell biology. This includes leveraging new molecular biology tools such as RNA-Seq, CRISPR screens, ChIP-seq, and engineered tension sensor probes to better understand the mechanical and genetic responses of the nucleus to self-induced cellular confinement.
Qualifications- A PhD in bioengineering, biology, biomedical sciences, or similar fields.
- A strong background in mechanobiology, molecular biology techniques, microscopy, and image analysis.
- Prior knowledge of microfluidics would be advantageous, though not a prerequisite.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage in collaborative research in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to microfluidics, high-resolution imaging, and cell culture. They will also have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of new paradigms for biomedical research.
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Applications should include a brief description of research interests and experience, and a full CV, with the names and contacts of two to three references.
