Research Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated researcher to join our confinement mechanobiology team.


About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to conduct cutting-edge research in confinement mechanobiology using quantitative biophysical approaches.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with interdisciplinary teams, leveraging recent observations on the nature of small, fluid-filled 'cellular highways' in the interstitial extracellular matrix (ECM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and conducting experiments to better understand the mechanical and genetic responses of the nucleus to self-induced cellular confinement.
  • Developing new paradigms for biomedical research by applying molecular biology tools, including RNA-Seq, CRISPR screens, ChIP-seq, and engineered tensions sensor probes.
  • Collaborating with researchers to advance knowledge in the field of mechanobiology and its applications.

Qualifications:
  • A PhD in bioengineering, biology, biomedical sciences, or similar fields.
  • Prior experience in mechanobiology, molecular biology techniques, microscopy, and image analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage in collaborative research.
