A Research fellow position is available in Dr. Anand Andiappan Laboratory at the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN). The successful candidate will support research focused on the immunology of allergic diseases and skin disorders. Responsibilities include working with primary cells from cohorts and cell culture systems to understand immune responses in skin immune interactions. Additional tasks involve cellular and stimulation assays with flow cytometry and FACS analysis, microscopy imaging, and data analysis with statistical testing.

Duties will also include managing laboratory safety, creating SOPs and risk assessments, maintaining inventories, and handling administrative tasks such as ordering and budgeting.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Immunology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields
  • Preferably experienced in allergy, clinical immunology, molecular allergy, and systems biology
  • Experience with human and mouse blood/tissue handling, in vitro cell culture, and processing (e.g., immune cell isolation, differentiation, activation assays)
  • Proficiency in flow cytometry and immune assays
  • Motivated, independent, and detail-oriented with the ability to follow complex protocols
  • Willing to learn new techniques and troubleshoot experiments
  • Good team player with interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
