Postdoctoral Fellow in Mechanobiology Research

The Mechanobiology Institute at the National University of Singapore is a multidisciplinary institute dedicated to advancing biomedical research through quantitative analysis of dynamic functional processes.

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research in confinement mechanobiology.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with talented researchers, PIs, and clinician scientists to explore the role of confinement in cell biology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to investigate the mechanical and genetic responses of cells to self-induced confinement
  • Develop and apply novel molecular biology tools to study cell biology
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate data and draw meaningful conclusions

Candidates should possess a PhD in bioengineering, biology, or a related field, and have expertise in mechanobiology, molecular biology techniques, microscopy, and image analysis.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • PhD in bioengineering, biology, or a related field
  • Strong background in mechanobiology, molecular biology techniques, microscopy, and image analysis
  • Experience with microfluidics would be advantageous but is not required
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
