RAN Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled RAN Engineer to join our team. As a RAN Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily operations and upkeep of RAN equipment, diagnosing and resolving network issues to maintain performance, and implementing updates and upgrades for RAN components.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations and upkeep of RAN equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues to maintain performance
  • Implement updates and upgrades for RAN components
  • Monitor and enhance the RAN's efficiency and effectiveness
  • Perform RF testing and optimization for Outdoor 4G and in future 5G in-building projects
  • Troubleshoot, design, and plan of RF network coverage using RF test tools
  • Monitor and identify network failures, execute corrective actions, report, and update customers, liaise with maintenance agencies and building owners, and assist in log retrieval
  • Service new UEs, update software, confirm failures, assist in tracking, and remote wipe of lost UEs
  • Provide software support, basic troubleshooting, and escalate to application vendors when necessary

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills:
  • Positive work attitude and self-motivated, with a customer first mindset
  • Strong team player to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Possess 3-years working experience in out-field operations, with at least 1-year relevant experience in the mobile network industry
  • Possess experience in commissioning / maintaining of BTS equipment
  • Possess Class 3 driving license
