Job Title: Maintenance Operations Coordinator

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection.

You will work closely with our maintenance team to plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This includes conducting routine inspections, identifying issues, and implementing effective solutions.

In addition, you will manage and supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to schedules. You will also negotiate contracts to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining service standards.

Another key aspect of this role is overseeing repair, upgrading, and renovation works to meet operational and safety requirements. You will also monitor and analyze energy consumption, implement efficiency initiatives, and maintain building management systems (BMS).

As a Maintenance Operations Coordinator, you will lead emergency response for M&E-related incidents and maintain contingency plans. You will also prepare and submit reports, coordinate audits, and manage regulatory inspections.

Finally, you will lead, train, and develop the in-house M&E team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E operations, preferably in retail or commercial building environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, statutory requirements, and maintenance best practices.
  • Proficient in BMS, permit-to-work systems, and maintenance management software.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • FSM certification, Green Mark knowledge, and WSH certifications will be advantageous.
