Job Title: Technical Coordinator

Novo Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Technical Coordinator to join our team. As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Vessel Managers: Provide technical support to Vessel Managers to ensure the efficient operation of vessels.
  • Coordinate with Fleet Operational Services: Collaborate with Fleet Operational Services to maintain up-to-date technical information and best practices.
  • Arrange and Manage Service Attendances: Coordinate and manage service attendances for vessels to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
  • Collaborate with Vessel Managers: Work closely with Vessel Managers to ensure surveys and certificates are current and up-to-date.
  • Review Repair Specifications: Review and analyze repair specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Organize Routine Repairs: Coordinate and manage routine repairs and requisitions for service engineers or technicians based on vessel needs.
  • Process Vendor Invoices: Review and process vendor invoices for services rendered to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain Repair Database: Assist in maintaining the repair database and help compile Dry-Dock Specifications.
  • Support Preparation and Review: Support the preparation and review of repair specifications, as well as analyze yard tenders.
  • Work with Purchasing Department: Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure cost-effective and timely supply deliveries.
  • Provide Assistance: Provide assistance to Vessel Managers during dry dock operations.
  • Compile Dry Dock Repair Report: Help compile the Dry Dock Repair Report.
  • Track Capital Modifications: Track capital modifications, upgrades, and ongoing projects.
  • Appoint Agencies: Appoint agencies and monitor associated costs and invoices.
  • Coordinate Husbandry Matters: Coordinate various husbandry matters with local agents.
  • Manage Vessel Certificates: Manage the distribution and tracking of vessel certificates.
  • Review Classification Reports: Review classification reports and distribute monthly reports to Vessel Managers and the vessels.
  • Process and Track Technical Reports: Process and track technical and service reports.
  • Organize and Maintain Archived Records: Organize and maintain archived records.
  • Manage Vessel Drawings: Manage vessel drawings and instruction manuals.
  • Distribute Manufacturer Service Bulletins: Distribute manufacturer service bulletins to the ship team and vessels.
  • Monitor Planned Maintenance: Monitor planned maintenance work orders and maintenance history within the PM system.
  • Track Equipment: Track equipment undergoing shore-based service or repair.
  • Support Purchasing Department: Support the purchasing department in the absence of the Purchasing lead, as assigned by superiors.
  • Perform Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of technical operations and maintenance procedures.
