
Business Development Advisor

As a seasoned professional in business development, you will play a key role in driving commercial and business negotiations for ExxonMobil's Low Carbon Solutions division. You will be part of a global, multi-disciplinary team that leverages strategic thinking and exceptional communication to deliver value-accretive priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of economic analysis, commercial design, and negotiating and influencing skills. They will also possess a deep understanding of the energy sector, including clean energy, power, infrastructure, and chemicals. Additionally, they will have prior experience working with Excel models, creating presentations, and reviewing legal agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand, construct, negotiate, execute, and operationalize agreements for the commercialization of new opportunities in Low Carbon Solutions.
- Mature selected opportunities from inception through to investment decision by ensuring alignment and obtaining endorsements as necessary.
- Interface with LCS customers and stakeholders, developing and strengthening relationships and building a deep and diverse network across different parts of the value chain.
- Represent ExxonMobil LCS in trade associations, government engagements, and partnering with other functional departments for attendance and participation at conferences and trade fairs.
- Provide competitive market insights to support market strategies and analysis, identifying potentially attractive LCS business opportunities for evaluation across multiple products and value chains.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years prior experience in corporate finance, corporate development, business development, strategy, or engineering/technical fields.
- Prior experience working with creation, comprehension, navigation, and manipulation of Excel models, creating presentations, and exposure to review of and preferably marking up legal agreements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some deal execution and prior negotiations experience.
- Financial modelling or business case modelling experience.
- Direct experience with oil & gas, power, CCS, or H2 value chains.
- International experience with joint ventures and other partner frameworks.
