The role of Supply Chain and Logistics Director is responsible for setting the strategic direction of supply chain activities, leading a team in developing, implementing, and executing supply chain processes to achieve timely order fulfillment and business objectives.

  • Oversee the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers, including planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, warehousing, distribution, logistics, and transportation.
">

Key Responsibilities:

">
  1. Demand planning and forecasting: Ensure sufficient and appropriate inventory levels through collaboration across various functions.
  2. Market planning: Lead communications between sales, marketing, operations, customer support, quality, regulatory, and fulfillment teams to monitor and manage inventory.
  3. Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee procurement, inventory management, supplier management, contract negotiations, transportation, fulfilment, and customer service to facilitate an optimal supply chain that meets customer needs.
  4. Order Fulfillment: Work with internal and external parties to ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer orders.

Accountabilities:

  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
  • Identify areas for improvement in supply chain processes, implement changes, and track performance metrics as needed.
  • Manage managers who are responsible for leading other supply chain associates.
  • Sponsor and lead cross-functional teams in support of strategic initiatives within the supply chain organization and across business units.
  • Provide management, finance, and the business with inventory projections, service level issues, revenue constraints, and issues impacting profitability.
  • Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing policies, standards, regulations, or laws, while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, trade compliance, and company policies.
">Required Skills and Qualifications:">
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • At least 10 years related experience in supply chain management
  • Detailed working knowledge of effective supply chain performance
  • Extensive experience supervising, coaching, and developing others
  • Extensive experience managing budgetary performance and profitability (P&L)
  • Significant experience in systematic prioritization, with data-supported analysis of trade-offs between business objectives
