Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and passionate Japanese Chef to lead the preparation and presentation of authentic Japanese cuisine in a fast-paced restaurant environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, ramen, teppanyaki, and other traditional specialties.
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, portion size, and plating.

Kitchen Operations & Management

Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized kitchen environment. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.


Menu Development & Innovation

Collaborate with management to design and update menus based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients. Experiment with new dishes and modern Japanese culinary trends.


Training & Leadership

Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff in Japanese cooking techniques. Maintain a positive and professional work environment.


Customer Experience & Quality Control

Ensure dishes meet customer expectations in taste, texture, and presentation. Interact with guests to explain dishes and receive feedback.


Requirements

Proven experience as a Japanese Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel. Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine. Skilled in sushi preparation, knife techniques, and seafood handling.
