Job Title: Operations Excellence Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Operations Excellence Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and maintaining a World Class Assembly floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safety compliance through audits and training
  • Lead and motivate a team of assemblers, including conducting training/coaching sessions
  • Own KPIs such as Safety, FPY, Continuous Improvement etc.
  • Write SOPs and implement self-inspection procedures
  • Identify process improvements and collaborate with management to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Analyse problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions promptly
  • Prioritise tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines
  • Optimise workflow and lead staff training, fostering a positive work environment
  • Maintain training/rework records, including quality issues
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Manufacturing Assistant/Engineer role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and above
  • Candidate must be highly motivated, able to work independently as well as in a team, and possess good organisational and oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with production management software (ERP & MES) and Root Cause Analysis methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
