Job Title: Chief Cybersecurity Strategist

Chief Cybersecurity Strategist oversees the organization's cybersecurity posture and spearheads strategic initiatives to safeguard data, infrastructure, and personnel. This key leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies that align with industry best practices and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge cybersecurity programs, including risk management, IAM, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure the effective deployment and monitoring of security controls, guaranteeing optimal operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement robust security policies and procedures, ensuring seamless integration across departments.

Security Program Oversight:

  • Lead the development of security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Spearhead periodic security reviews and coordinate third-party audits and assessments.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and remediation of security vulnerabilities across IT systems and applications.

Vulnerability & Threat Management:

  • Coordinate regular penetration tests, threat modeling exercises, and patch management activities.
  • Review vulnerability and risk reports provided by security officers and escalate critical risks accordingly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and provide expert advice on mitigation strategies.

Incident Response & Investigations:

  • Lead the organization's response to security incidents, ensuring timely investigation, containment, and resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and ensure lessons learned are implemented to prevent future incidents.
  • Maintain and test the incident response plan regularly.

Governance, Risk & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats.
  • Provide oversight for audit readiness and compliance reporting.
  • Lead risk assessments and maintain the security risk register.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding security matters.
  • Support client audits and provide advisory on emerging threats, representing the security team in cross-functional discussions.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on the security posture and incident trends.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years in IT security or cybersecurity roles, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership capacity.
