Chief Information Security Strategist

Job Description

This key role is responsible for driving the organization's cybersecurity strategy and initiatives. As a trusted advisor, you will oversee the implementation of robust risk management frameworks, ensuring seamless alignment with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, strong stakeholder engagement abilities, and a deep understanding of IT governance principles.

Your focus areas will include Cybersecurity Risk Management, IT Governance, Vendor Risk Assessments, and Risk Awareness Initiatives. To succeed in this position, you must be able to drive strategic change, build high-performing teams, and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement effective cybersecurity strategies to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements that reduce operational risks.
  • Foster partnerships with vendors, leveraging their expertise to enhance our security posture.
  • Lead training initiatives to raise awareness about cybersecurity best practices among employees.
Requirements

To excel as our Chief Information Security Strategist, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity governance, and risk assessments.
  • Proven knowledge of NIST, COBIT, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSK, CGEIT.
