Job Overview

The Plant Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. Key responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, monitoring and reporting on maintenance requests, and supporting shift operations as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform cleaning, filter replacement, and hose connections to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance requests to facilitate timely attention and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with shift operations during critical processes, such as grade change transitions.
  • Verify accuracy of inventory management by tracking incoming goods and outgoing shipments.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to maintain adequate material inventories and troubleshoot variances.
  • Comply with hazardous material handling procedures and store chemicals safely to prevent accidents.
  • Provide backup support for other technicians and participate in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Commission and decommission process equipment, handle non-conforming products, and prepare equipment for maintenance.

Requirements:

  • NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Process Technician in a chemical industry is necessary.
