Job Title: Chemical Process Specialist


Chemical Process Specialist Description:


As a key player in our process operation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our chemical processes. Your main duties will include:
1. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and optimize performance.
2. Conducting regular checks, start-up, and shutdown operations on process equipment such as pumps and compressors to ensure safe and efficient operation.
3. Carrying out filter changes and isolating piping systems for plant start-up, shutdowns, product grade change, and troubleshooting operations to maintain process integrity.
4. Adjusting process parameters to optimize process operations under supervision of supervisors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
5. Commissioning and decommissioning of process equipment to ensure seamless transitions and minimize downtime.
6. Performing emergency shutdown of process equipment in case of unexpected events or system failures, adhering to established procedures to minimize risk.
7. Proper handling and blending of non-conforming and off-spec products to prevent contamination and ensure quality control.
8. Preparing plant equipment for maintenance to facilitate efficient and effective repairs.
9. Preparing chemicals, including mixing and dilution, for process operations, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
10. Performing inter-tank transfers of chemicals and products based on established quality procedures to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
11. Participating in emergency response activities and drills to ensure preparedness and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
1. Nitec / Diploma in Chemical Process / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification is essential for this role.
2. Ability to work 12-hr rotating shifts, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in your schedule.
