Chemical Process Operations Specialist

The Process Technician is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our chemical processing units. This individual will be working closely with other teams to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during production.
To be successful in this position, you will require a strong understanding of chemical process technology and a proven track record of operating complex machinery. You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operating process units in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Maintaining equipment and plant operations within safe operating windows
- Coordinating daily maintenance planning and participating in shutdown and start-up activities
- Updating operational procedures and preparing job pack documentation for equipment repair
- Performing sampling and basic laboratory tests
- Nitec/Higher Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical & Green Technology / Clean Energy
- 3 or more years of relevant experience in chemical processing or oil refining/utilities
- Able to operate DCS independently
- WSQ Qualifications in workplace safety and health for process plants/manufacturing sites
- Mandatory HSSE competency requirement specifically on ACSSEW (confined space safety assessor)
