We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse to join our team in delivering holistic care to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Tasks:

The successful candidate will be responsible for recording and updating patient medical history and related data, while ensuring the confidentiality of this information.

They will also participate in cost control initiatives and ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and sanitary.

In addition, they will be involved in stock inventory and assume additional duties assigned by the Nurse Manager.

  • Clinical Duties:

The nurse will be responsible for demonstrating competency in dialysis-related procedures, including cannulation of arterio-venous fistula (AVF) and arterio-venous graft (AVG), and preparation of central venous catheter (CVC).

They will also prepare, commence, and complete dialysis treatment, manage dialysis complications, and clear dialyzers and bloodlines after dialysis.

Furthermore, they will be responsible for assessing and documenting patients' parameters and psycho-physio-social needs before, during, and after treatment.

They will report any abnormalities to the Senior Staff Nurse promptly and demonstrate competency in the collection of a patient's blood sample and dialysis equipment-related procedures.

The nurse will also practice primary nursing and treatment plan for assigned patients in collaboration with the Senior Staff Nurse and assist during Doctor consultation rounds.

Additionally, they will ensure patients and their families are educated on renal dialysis care through regular communications and accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patients' clinical notes.

They will provide updated blood test results on a timely basis to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the Renal Team's Clinical Outcome and Quality Measures.

Finally, the nurse will participate in quality improvement projects to pursue quality outcomes for patients and adhere to proper aseptic techniques and infection prevention and control protocol.

Requirements:
  • Education:

A diploma in nursing is required.

Registration:

A valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board is necessary.

Experience:

At least two years of renal nursing experience is required.

Certifications:

A valid certificate of Basic Care Life Support (BCLS) is essential.

Patient Skills:

An ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families is crucial.

Team Player:

A pleasant personality and team-player attitude are necessary for success in this role.
