We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renal Nursing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating structured training programs in renal nursing.

About the Role:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs in dialysis care, renal nutrition, fluid management, and peritoneal and haemodialysis.
  • Establish and maintain optimal clinical learning environments for nursing staff and students.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate preceptorship schemes to support the clinical development of new staff.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new staff members and assist Nurse Managers in ensuring their competencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement structured training programs in renal nursing, covering areas such as dialysis care, renal nutrition, fluid management, and both peritoneal and haemodialysis.
  • Establish and maintain optimal clinical learning environments for nursing staff and students.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate preceptorship schemes to support the clinical development of new staff.
  • Provide on-the-job training (OJT) for new staff members and assist Nurse Managers in ensuring their competencies.
  • Coordinate and organize training activities to strengthen unit-based generic and specialty clinical practices.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate unit-based and discipline-based training courses for nursing staff.
  • Ensure appropriate orientation, training, and continuing education opportunities are provided to advance and maintain the required level of competency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing standards to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
  • Act as a resource person to Nurse Managers on clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues.
  • Apply principles to prevent medico-legal issues related to patient care and conduct summative assessments of nursing staff and students.
  • Provide training and education for other non-nursing staff and volunteers as needed.

Requirements:

  • Possess Degree in Nursing with valid SNB registration (inclusive of a Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education)
