Manufacturing Operations Manager

This role oversees daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and experience in supervising employees.

  • Supervises employees involved in production functions such as assembly, inspection, test, and/or final test.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on available manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and materials requirements.
  • Participates in operational meetings, supports performance metric development, and conducts milestone meetings.

Key responsibilities include meeting or improving cycle time performance, responding to operations issues, and acting as an interface for customer/vendor requirements.

The role also involves overseeing safety protocols, employee training, and implementing processes that collect and analyze key measurement data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Fully understand procedures and concepts within own job family, with basic knowledge of other related job families. Apply understanding of team relationships to improve efficiency.

Demonstrate formal supervisory responsibilities, set priorities, coach employees, and use judgment to identify and resolve technical and operational problems.

Impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the business unit, department, or sub-function.

Utilize tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues, potentially interacting with outside customers, vendors, or suppliers.
