Accounting Lead APAC Position

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to lead our financial operations in the Asia-Pacific region. This executive-level role will be responsible for overseeing all accounting aspects, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and reporting directly to the Director of Finance at our headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an effective accounting framework across APAC, guaranteeing consistency, scalability, and adherence to corporate guidelines.
  • Provide expert accounting and tax compliance support to regional stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and cooperation.
  • Maintain timely and accurate financial reporting and closing processes, enabling informed strategic decision-making.
  • Align regional financial and operational processes with corporate finance leadership, promoting synergy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with APAC and country management to establish, manage, and report on financial flows, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls frameworks, including expense management and travel policies, upholding the highest standards of integrity.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a leading financial role within multinational companies.
  • CPA certification from a Big 4 firm is mandatory.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin and/or Korean is desirable.
  • Extensive experience managing statutory reporting requirements in APAC.
  • In-depth knowledge of local tax, VAT/GST, and CIT requirements, as well as APAC accounting laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is advantageous.
  • A proven track record as a regional APAC finance manager.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite ERP Systems is a plus.
