Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead IT project planning, execution, and delivery for SMBC subsidiaries, aligning with corporate strategy and business objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, gather requirements, and validate IT investments and ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to design system architecture and ensure seamless data and system integration.
  • Develop business operational process and IT solution design to meet business needs.
  • Review IT projects and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Provide guidance on data structure and system design.
  • Deliver regular project updates and manage timely incident reporting.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent with 8+ years of experience in the banking domain.
  • Strong IT project management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaison between business units and technical teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards in banking and ability to manage workloads.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams across diverse cultures.
  • Proficiency in both English and Japanese is highly preferred.
