Job DescriptionAs a Cutter in our central kitchen, you will be responsible for washing, peeling, trimming, slicing, dicing, and chopping a variety of ingredients to minimize food wastage. You will work with knives and cutting tools safely and effectively, ensuring proper handling and storage of all ingredients. Your goal is to maintain consistency in cut sizes and preparation techniques to meet recipe standards. Additionally, you will adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, knives, cutting boards, and equipment before and after use. Other duties include assisting with inventory rotation (FIFO), stock checks, and reporting low supplies.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Previous experience in high-volume kitchens, food production environments, and central kitchens is preferred.
- Good knife skills and familiarity with different cutting techniques are essential.
- You must be physically fit and able to stand for extended hours.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic is required.
