Electrical Asset Specialist

This role requires a highly skilled and safety-focused professional to oversee on-site Partial Discharge testing of high-voltage assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating advanced PD testing equipment, ensuring all procedures adhere to industry standards and safety protocols, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues on-site.

A key aspect of this role is supervising workers on-site to guarantee that electrical installations comply with regulations. The specialist must also interpret single-line drawings to verify design specifications and conduct switching operations on low-voltage switchgear in accordance with regulations and internal procedures.

This position demands a high level of responsibility, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, possess experience working outdoors, and be comfortable with physically demanding tasks.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Conducting on-site PD testing on various high-voltage assets
  • Operating PD testing and analysis software
  • Troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment issues on-site
  • Collecting and logging test data, including equipment readings, environmental conditions, and asset information
  • Generating reports concluding field tests

In addition to the above, the following skills are essential:

  • Ability to read and understand Python code
  • Interest in academic publications
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent
